Getting Ready for the New Year

So as 2013 draws to a close I have put my art to good use. I dug all my art out and blew off the dust and decided I would update my Cafe Press store and put together a few calendars for all my fans. WORKS IN PROGRESS

Hello my friends!

I thought I would pop in and share with you some of the new art pieces I am working on. 
This is a bit of a mile stone for me, as I sit here looking at the new pieces I think about all the years I have been doing art and it seems as long as I can remember I have had a pencil...crayon....or paint brush in my hand...an art pad on my lap...ink stains on my fingers. 
After years of being out at the Texas Ren Fair with my shop Poppyseed Graphics and all the friends I met out there who supported my work and visions I am slowly moving back into world of art. It has been a long winding road and though a little storm named Ike blew me a bit off course by taking my art prints and quite a number of originals like the Phoenix I am rising from the ashes. As you look at these pieces remember they are roughs and you can see the bud of a design and then like a beautiful rose watch them flower out as more and more are done to them. Hi everyone!

So I found these amazing little wooden plaques at the dollar store of all places and brought them home and added a coat of paint then shabby chiced them up a bit. Next in photo shop I created some Inspirational digital collage art and put the two together and wala the WHIMSICAL PLAQUES were born. These are new items I will have at the Northwest Forest Christmas Market on November 17th....which thinking about it I have not shared that info with you at al...I suck hu? lol. El Dia de los Muertos

 In Mexico, El Dia de los Muertos is the holiday takes place on the first and second of November.   People take two days out of the year in order to pay their respect to their dead family members and friends.  During this celebration, skulls and altars are made, food is placed on graves, and families and friends celebrate the lives of departed children and adults. So I thought it would be fun to show some fun little pendants I made with this theme in mind.

Hi everyone!

well here is some exciting news.... I have been working on some new art work, I know let us not faint Leanne is finally doing art again. And I will be debuting some of my new works at the ASG Houston Sew Chic Fashion Show and Vendors market on September 28th at the Hess Club in Houston Texas. I will have some little originals for sale as well as affordable art prints! I will be in with the Texas Art Galz a group of fellow Artisans Jan Stevens, Kristin Rhodes, Cat Woody and Stephanie Jones who have amazing work as well.
Admission is FREE for the Vendors Market and I hope some of you can come out and see us there.
I also will have artist journals for sale which perhaps may inspire you to pick up a pen or pencil and doodle. If you have never done an artist Journal it is a great way to express your self drawing adding pictures writing the skies the limit to what you can do. Get Your Geek On!

Hi everyone!

I just got done doing a Science Fiction Fantasy convention art show called APOLLO CON here in Houston and debuted my "GEEK WEAR" domino pendants and I must say they were very well recieved (yes I was totally surprised!
